A singer at a wedding ceremony in Edmonton can sing at a few set moments: the walk down the aisle, the signing and the walk back out. Plan the songs, how the singer will be accompanied and the microphones, then send us your date, venue and guest count, and you can compare options with prices for singers who are available that day.
The moments
- as guests arrive and find their seats;
- the walk down the aisle;
- the signing;
- the walk back out.
Tell the singer which moments you’d like a song for. You can also mix them: instrumental music for most of the ceremony and one song, such as at the signing.
Your songs
Choose a song for each moment, and send the list early. Ask whether the singer already performs those songs, and whether they can learn any they don’t. Ask how they’ll time the song to the walk down the aisle.
Accompaniment
Ask how the singer will be accompanied: by a pianist or a guitarist, by playing an instrument themselves, or with backing tracks. A pianist needs a piano or a keyboard and power. With backing tracks, ask who plays them and from what.
Microphones
Ask whether the singer brings a microphone and a speaker, or uses the venue’s sound. Ask the venue whether there’s a microphone for the officiant and the readings. If there isn’t, ask whether the singer can bring one with their sound.
Outdoors
For an outdoor ceremony, ask what the singer needs: power for the sound, shade, and cover if it rains.
Questions to ask before you book
- Do you already sing our songs, or can you learn them?
- How will you be accompanied: a pianist, an instrument of your own, or backing tracks?
- Do you bring a microphone and a speaker?
- Can you bring a microphone for the officiant and the readings?
- For an outdoor ceremony, what do you need?
- Can we hear a recording of you singing one of our songs?
- When will you arrive, and what will you wear?
What changes the price
The price depends on how long you book, an accompanist, whether it’s a Saturday or in the wedding season, and travel outside Edmonton.
How booking works with AGNT
AGNT is a booking company. You send us your date, venue and guest count, and we check which singers in Edmonton are available that day. We send you options with prices. You pick one, and it’s booked once the deposit is paid. If your first pick isn’t available, we’ll tell you and suggest a similar act who is.
Some of the Edmonton singers you can book through AGNT are Mandy McMillan, Kaeley Jade and Cara Lianne McLeod. You can see more on singers for hire in Edmonton.
How we put this together
We wrote this from what couples ask when they book a singer for a wedding ceremony: the moments, the songs, the accompaniment and the microphones. It doesn’t list prices, because they depend on your date, how long you book and the singer you choose. You’ll see prices with the options we send.
Your next step
Tell us your date, venue and guest count, and we’ll send you Edmonton singers who are available that day, with prices: book a singer in Edmonton
