Plan the rules, the room and the sound, then send us your date, venue and expected crowd, and you can compare options with prices for bands who are available that day.<\/p>\n<h2>Check with the campus first<\/h2>\n<p>Before you book, ask the campus events or booking office:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>what it needs from outside performers, such as a contract, proof of insurance or a sign-in;<\/li>\n<li>whether the room is all-ages or licensed, and any rules that come with that;<\/li>\n<li>what time the music has to stop, and whether there&#8217;s a sound limit;<\/li>\n<li>when the band can load in, and where they can park or unload.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Tell the band what you find, so they can plan around it.<\/p>\n<h2>Sound for the room<\/h2>\n<p>Tell the band the size of the room, or whether it&#8217;s outdoors, and the expected crowd. Ask whether they bring their own sound and lights, or can use the campus sound system, and who runs it.<\/p>\n<h2>Sets and the crowd<\/h2>\n<p>A band plays in sets, usually with breaks. Ask how long they&#8217;d like to play, in one stretch or with a break, and what plays during the breaks. Tell them who the crowd is, and send songs your committee would like.<\/p>\n<h2>Paperwork and approvals<\/h2>\n<p>If your group needs a written quote before the booking is approved, say so in your request.
